Welcome to the Pedal Pals Adventure Hub ("Service"). By accessing or using our website, you agree to comply with and be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the website.
1. Age Requirement and Registration
Our Service is intended for riders of all ages, including children. However, registration is governed by children's privacy laws:
- Users under the age of 13 may not create an account directly. Accounts for children under 13 must be created by a parent, guardian, or an authorized teacher/school administrator.
- If you register an account, you represent that you are at least 13 years old, or that you are a parent, guardian, or educator registering on behalf of a child and consenting to their use of the Service.
Special Provision for Schools and Educators
Teachers and school administrators registering accounts for classrooms represent and warrant that they have the appropriate authority from their school or district to consent to the collection of students' display names and emails for educational purposes, in compliance with COPPA. Educational accounts must be used solely for classroom or school-sponsored learning activities.
2. Safety Disclaimer & Rider Responsibility
The Pedal Pals Adventure Hub provides safety education, quizzes, and trail maps for informational and entertainment purposes only.
WARNING: Bicycling is an active sport with inherent risks of injury or damage.
- We strongly recommend that all riders wear a properly fitted bicycle helmet at all times when riding.
- Users and their parents/educators are solely responsible for verifying local road and weather conditions, obeying all traffic laws, and riding within their skill level.
- Pedal Pals does not guarantee the accuracy of trail map route data, conditions, or closures. Always stay alert and prioritize safety.
3. User Conduct
To keep Pedal Pals a safe place for all children and students, you agree NOT to:
- Choose offensive, inappropriate, or misleading Display Names.
- Upload files containing viruses, Trojan horses, or malicious code.
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to other user accounts, servers, or databases.
- Use the site for any unauthorized commercial marketing, spam, or promotional campaigns.
4. Intellectual Property
All content, including graphics, text, quiz questions, logos, character designs (the Pedal Pals crew), and custom assets, is the property of Pedal Pals or its content suppliers and is protected by intellectual property laws.
Schools and educators are granted a non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to print and distribute Safety Lab printable materials (coloring sheets, worksheets, certificates) for direct educational classroom use only.
5. Account Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, engage in security abuses, or display inappropriate behavior, without prior notice.
